Yuanta's management team has a long history of concern and support for society's well-being. Fuhwa Cultural and Educational Foundation was established on November 5, 2002 with financial support from the company's three main subsidiaries (securities, bank, and securities finance). In June 2007, its name was changed to Yuanta Cultural & Educational Foundation (Yuanta Foundation). The Foundation's vision is to repay society for its support over the years and to carry out the company's social responsibility by raising awareness about health, culture and the arts.

Yuanta Foundation directs its resources toward future leadership development, academic workshops, promotion of the arts and cultural activities, and a variety of other social activities.

Yuanta Foundation's founding principles are to:

1. Promote cooperation and exchange between Taiwanese and foreign academic research organizations.

2. Provide scholarships to talented individuals undertaking research.

3. Arrange academic workshops, conferences and forums.

4. Accept a variety of planning and conduct educational activities.

5. Publish materials related to the Foundation's objectives.

6. Engage in other educational and social activities that are in line with the Foundation's goals.
