Dividend Policy

Yuanta has adopted a balanced dividend policy to maintain sustainable business operations while protecting shareholders' equity. Net income is used for the following ways in this order: offset any losses from previous years, appropriate for mandatory legal and special reserve, remuneration to directors of 1%, employee bonus of 0.1%-0.5%. The remaining amount is eligible for distribution to shareholders, after being proposed by the board of directors and approved by shareholders. After the appropriate amounts are allocated for the items mentioned above, at least 80% of the total qualified distributable amount is to be distributed. Cash dividend must not be below 50% and stock dividend must be below 50%. When a stock bonus is distributed to employees, recipients must meet the criteria listed to be an eligible employee.
