The main operations of Yuanta Asset Management include loan acquisition from financial institutions, and the assessment, management and sale of bad loans, accounts receivable factoring and management of overdue accounts receivables.

In the traditional asset management area, Yuanta Asset Management consults on debt-to-equity, corporate restructuring and comeback strategies. In the real estate management area, it develops plan for companies to use in selecting the best models and is gradually expanding into the following businesses: sale and leaseback of real estate, financial asset securitization, real estate securitization, and construction management.

In December 2004, Yuanta Asset Management set up a task force to focus on real estate development. Depending on market potential, it will also strategically align with partners to capitalize on potential for development in the real estate or construction areas.

Yuanta Asset Management has been committed to researching and developing real estate products, and in the future will focus on real estate asset management in order to differentiate itself from other asset management companies. Currently, in the area of bidding and handling of non-performing loans, the company seeks to speed up the removal of non-performing loans and actively transform itself into a total solutions provider. The company acts as a third party in matching fund users and fund suppliers where there is a release of non-performing loans from financial institutions or AMCs. It helps third parties remove regulatory obstacles attributed to non-performing loans and helps to inject new funds for revitalizing those NPLs, and in doing so, adds value to the assets.
