“Every child deserves a gift just for them.” Guided by this belief, the “Yuanta Happiness Day” event, organized by Yuanta Financial Holding Company (FHC) and the Yuanta Cultural and Educational Foundation (Foundation), marks its fifteenth year this year. Today (10/3), nearly 100 students from remote areas—including those from Hsinghua Elementary School in Changhua County and Kouping Elementary School in Kaohsiung City—were specially invited to explore the sugar mill culture at the Ten-Drum Cultural and Creative Park in Tainan. The event also marked an important milestone with the distribution of the 10,000th “Happiness Gift Pack.”

The Yuanta Foundation firmly believes that education and culture can open another window for children to view the world. This event was specifically held at the Ten-Drum Cultural and Creative Park—a former century-old sugar factory that has been repurposed—to introduce students to the sugar industry and traditional drumming culture. A “drumming experience” was also organized to allow the children to personally feel the rhythm of music and the joy of teamwork. Furthermore, the children made their own “DIY lucky drum ornaments,” creating a unique keepsake of happiness.

As part of Yuanta Happiness Day, children were invited to visit the “Dream Sugar Theater,” built atop a five-roll press. Through a transparent glass walkway, they looked down on the sugar factory grounds and experienced an audiovisual feast where history, industry, and drum music intertwined, bringing them to appreciate the charm of traditional culture and artistic innovation. The children did not just visit—they also learned about local culture through their five senses, broadened their aesthetic horizons, and created even more unforgettable memories on this joyful journey.

In addition to experiencing the art of drumming and the joy of crafting, the Yuanta Foundation also prepared a specially tailored “Happiness Gift Pack” for each student, containing brand-new athletic wear and sneakers. Seeing the children’s faces light up with beaming smiles is precisely what has driven the “Yuanta Happiness Day” to continue for so many years. Every personalized gift is not only a tangible form of support but also embodies our care and best wishes for children in remote areas.
