Yuanta Commercial Bank, formerly known as Asia Pacific Commercial Bank, was established in 1992. The Bank became a part of Fuhwa FHC in 2002 under the name of Fuwha Commercial Bank, and in 2007 was renamed as Yuanta Commercial Bank. In January, 2017, Taiwan’s Financial Supervisory Commission approved the Bank’s merger with Ta Chong Bank, leaving Yuanta Bank as the surviving entity following the formal merger in January 2018.
Following its merger with Ta Chong Bank, Yuanta Bank’s total assets exceeded NTD 1.3 trillion, making it the seventh-largest private bank in Taiwan, and officially moving it into the industry’s top tier. In addition to this rapid growth in total assets, the Bank’s domestic branch locations increased to 148, while its international locations now include the subsidiary banks Yuanta Savings Bank (Philippines) and Yuanta Savings Bank (Korea), as well as a branch location in Hong Kong. Through the international resources of its “golden triangle” of locations in the Philippines, Korea, and Hong Kong, Yuanta hopes to realize important operational synergies.
Yuanta Bank’s main business areas include consumer finance, corporate finance, wealth management, and digital banking, and it is in these four directions that the Bank will focus its future development. In order to meet the needs of our customers, Yuanta will not only continue to innovate in terms of financial products, but also actively integrate its domestic and international resources to provide its customers with a full range of financial solutions on a basis of “integrity, stability, service, innovation, and care”. By earning a reputation for high service quality, and providing customers with even more comprehensive financial services, Yuanta will effectively realize its vision of corporate sustainability.
