Yuanta Financial Holding Company (FHC) holds the concept of coexistence and co-prosperity of social engagement and financial services, and has been deeply committed to public welfare for many years, making the operational base the core of community development. We organized the first “Yuanta Charity Blood Drive” of the year and invited people to donate blood. In order to expand the influence of the event, we joined hands with neighborhood leaders and more local forces to practice community cohesion, and collected a total of 750 bags of blood to help the blood banks in central and southern Taiwan, where blood stocks are currently low.

Recently, the weather and temperature difference is large, which is the period when cardiovascular diseases are prone to occur, and it is also the peak period of blood consumption in previous years, especially in the O-type blood banks in the central and southern regions. The Yuanta Charity Blood Drive is held three times a year and is now in its thirteenth (13^th) year. As of last year, a total of 24,028 bags of blood were donated. The first blood donation event of the year was held from March 6 to April 5. Yuanta FHC invited all Yuanta colleagues, suppliers, and the public to roll up their sleeves and donate blood, and also visited the neighborhood leaders of five (5) blood donation sites in Taipei to encourage more people to take part in the blood drive.

Yuanta FHC was awarded “Outstanding Blood Donor Group” by the Taiwan Blood Services Foundation for seven (7) consecutive years. Many colleagues have developed the good habit of donating blood regularly. A colleague who repeatedly participates in blood drive three times a year said that exercise is the best way to get the blood flowing faster, and that he will supplement with foods high in nutrients the day before the donation and get enough sleep to keep his body in good condition. Another colleague, who has been a blood donor since college, has donated blood 31 times in the past fourteen (14) years and will continue to roll up her sleeves and donate blood to help more people.

The Yuanta Charity Blood Drive has been going on for thirteen (13) years. Blood donation not only saves lives, but also promotes metabolism, which is beneficial to both others and oneself. Yuanta FHC is deeply committed to social welfare while interacting with the local community, encouraging people to take practical actions to spread warm and positive energy to all corners of society.
