Yuanta FHC Wins CommonWealth CSR Sustainable Citizenship Award for 6 Consecutive Years, Cultivating Sustainable Financial Talents and Enhancing Industry Resilience Recognized
<p>Yuanta Financial Holding Company (FHC) is deeply committed to sustainable governance, integrating international standards into daily operations, actively cultivating sustainable financial talents, and guiding engaged enterprises to demonstrate concrete climate response actions through the power of capital. In the &ldquo;2025 <em>CommonWealth</em> CSR Sustainable Citizenship Award&rdquo; competition, Yuanta FHC was selected as the third place winner in the category of Large Enterprises &ndash; Financial Industry among more than 200 benchmark enterprises, and has been recognized for six consecutive years. This manifests the Yuanta Group&rsquo;s proactive efforts to enhance the sustainability resilience of the entire financial industry in Taiwan.</p>
<p>Since 2007, <em>CommonWealth</em> Magazine has been organizing the <em>CommonWealth</em> CSR Sustainable Citizenship Award, which is one of the most influential ESG (environmental, social, and governance) index awards in Taiwan based on rigorous quantitative indicators and a professional judging panel mechanism that evaluates the award in four major dimensions, including corporate governance, corporate commitment, social engagement, and environmental sustainability. Yuanta FHC has been actively fostering sustainable financial talents. As of September 2025, more than 39,000 people in Taiwan have received the basic certificate in sustainable finance, and the Yuanta Group has accumulated nearly 4,000 people who have obtained the certificate, accounting for approximately thirteen percent (13%) of the entire financial industry in Taiwan, which is highly recognized by the judges.</p>
<p>Yuanta FHC has implemented corporate governance with a diversified and independent board of directors, with independent directors constituting over 40% of all directors and women holding one-third of the board seats. Yuanta FHC has been ranked in the top five percent (5%) of the Taiwan Stock Exchange&rsquo;s Corporate Governance Evaluation for nine years in a row, and has again been honored with the &ldquo;Outstanding Certification&rdquo; in the &ldquo;CG6014 (2023) Corporate Governance System Assessment&rdquo; by the Taiwan Corporate Governance Association. Moreover, we have been enthusiastically aligning with international standards and have been included in the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI) for six straight years and have placed number one (No. 1) in the world in the group of Diversified Financial Services and Capital Markets for three times.</p>
<p>In response to the net-zero emissions policy, the Yuanta Group has been proactively deploying green power usage, with the Group&rsquo;s green power usage reaching 13.64% in 2024. The Yuanta Group has also advocated green procurement to promote green consumption, with the amount of green procurement totaling NT299 million, and has been commended by Taiwan&rsquo;s Ministry of Environment for thirteen consecutive years as an excellent private enterprise in green procurement. Additionally, the Yuanta Group has jointly engaged with sixteen key investment enterprises, with five of them carrying out specific improvement actions after the engagement. Furthermore, answering the global sustainability trend with practical actions, Yuanta FHC has made the Climate A List of the international environmental disclosure non-profit CDP for five years in a row, and has been confirmed as a leader in the CDP Supplier Engagement Assessment for six straight years.</p>
