Public Service Highlights
“Yuanta LOVE Book FUN – Passing on Love” Book Donation Campaign
Since 2015, the Yuanta Cultural and Educational Foundation has launched the “Yuanta Love Book Fun” book donation campaign, encouraging colleagues to donate cherished second‑hand books from their homes. The books are carefully sorted, cleaned, and categorized — from moving and unpacking to thorough disinfection and cataloging — so that they can be given new life before being donated to under‑resourced schools, rural after‑school programs, and libraries, providing diverse learning resources. The initiative seeks to enrich children’s lives through the power of reading.
In 2025, donation stations were established at eight locations across Taiwan, collecting 2,714 books and twelve mobile digital devices. The total weight of the donated books reached 1,104 kilograms, delivering an environmental benefit equivalent to sparing 24 trees. Through these actions, the campaign puts sustainability into practice, bringing public welfare and environmental protection together. “Resource Renewal” goes beyond material contributions by combining different activities and inviting the Group’s volunteers into schools. Through storytelling and picture-book presentations, they bring books to life. In 2025, volunteers visited Fengyuan District in Taichung and spent time with the Taichung Community Culture Council Society, and also went to LiouGuei Primary School in Kaohsiung, a school with a century-long history, to share a joyful and moving time with the children. Through picture-book storytelling, interactive Q&A, and DIY activities, they helped foster knowledge and imagination in children’s minds, sparking their interest in learning and instilling the joy of reading in their hearts.
Yuanta Funds Partners with Suppliers to Donate Supplies
To care for children in vulnerable circumstances — including those from rural areas, disadvantaged families, low-income households, grandparent-led families, adoptive families, and foster homes — Yuanta Funds has organized the Love Shoe Box campaign for eight consecutive years. With assistance from local government education departments, the needs of the children are assessed in advance. Company employees and suppliers then voluntarily contribute funds to purchase items, which are delivered to the children before Christmas, bringing warmth and helping disadvantaged students continue their education. This year, donations were made to eight rural schools in Nantou County, benefiting 465 children. Over the past eight years, the campaign has reached 191 schools and benefited more than 3,630 children.
