YFH announces on behalf of YSIT a civil third instance judgment for damages against its former employee, Mr. Chiu
  1. Date of occurrence of the event: 2026/05/05
  2. Company name: Yuanta Securities Investment Trust Co., Ltd. (“YSIT”)
  3. Relationship to the Company (please enter ”head office” or  ”subsidiaries”): Subsidiaries
  4. Reciprocal shareholding ratios: 74.71%
  5. Cause of occurrence:
    (1) YSIT filed a lawsuit for damages in July 2022 against its former
    employee, Mr. Chiu, due to his breach of trust. The Taiwan High Court had
    rendered its civil instance judgment on September 16, 2025, and YSIT
    appealed the unfavorable portion of the judgment to Supreme Court.
    (2) YSIT is informed today that Supreme Court rendered a judgment,
    pursuant to which the former employee, Mr. Chiu, shall make a payment in
    an amount of NTD 14,130,120 and applicable legal interest to YSIT. Supreme
    Court reversed and remanded the part of the Taiwan High Court judgment
    rejecting YSIT.
  6. Countermeasures:
    Upon receiving the judgement, YSIT will discuss matters regarding the civil
    remand with lawyers.
