Global Views Monthly first established Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Awards in 2005, and this year it is entering its nineteenth (19th) year. Since there is a new consensus among governments and companies to use the terms ESG and sustainability, the content and criteria of the awards have been slightly revised to keep up with the times, and from this year onwards the name has been changed to “Global Views Monthly ESG Corporate Sustainability Awards.” The evaluation covers all aspects of corporate sustainable strategic planning, low-carbon environment, stakeholder engagement, transparency of information disclosure, corporate governance, organizational behavior and performance, etc., in order to fully evaluate the overall ESG performance of the company.

In the face of the risks, opportunities, and challenges brought about by climate and social changes, Yuanta FHC has adopted a scientific and systematic approach to environmental management, introduced ISO standards to enhance management efficiency, combined with an internal carbon pricing mechanism to actively reduce Yuanta Group’s carbon emissions, and further expanded the green influence by launching zero-carbon and low-carbon products and working with customers to respond to low-carbon living. We have not only been ranked at the Leadership Level of the CDP (formerly Carbon Disclosure Project) for five (5) consecutive years, but this year we were also recognized by the Supplier Engagement Rating Leaderboard, ranking in the top eight percent (8%) of 15,000 companies worldwide.

We have been selected as a member of both the Dow Jones Sustainability World and Emerging Markets Indexes (DJSI) for four (4) consecutive years and has been recognized with National Sustainable Development Award, the highest honor in the national sustainability field. We have also been invited to become a member of the Coalition of Movers and Shakers for Sustainable Finance of Taiwan’s Financial Supervisory Commission to play the role of a leading goose in the field of sustainability and create a sustainable future together.
