The 2025 Asia-Pacific and Taiwan Sustainability Action Awards held its awards ceremony on September 11. Yuanta Life, under the theme of “Anti-Fraud Education: Zero-Distance Protection,” is implementing the United Nations’ fourth Sustainable Development Goal (SDG 4) – ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education and promoting lifelong learning opportunities for all. Yuanta Life is committed to promoting various anti-fraud education initiatives, helping corporate employees, policyholders, and the general public comprehensively raise their anti-fraud awareness. By actively responding to financial anti-fraud policies set by the competent authorities, Yuanta Life has received the Bronze Award at the 2025 Taiwan Sustainability Action Awards.
According to statistics from the 165 Anti-Fraud Dashboard of the National Police Agency of Taiwan’s Ministry of the Interior, the amount of money lost to fraud in August 2025 alone reached NT$7.34 billion. In light of the recent surge in fraud cases, Yuanta Life is investing resources and manpower to carry out various anti-fraud programs, safeguarding the personal information and financial security of the public and preventing them from falling victim to scams. Yuanta Life has executed a multi-faceted approach to fraud prevention internally, starting from the source. This includes establishing rigorous risk control mechanisms, enhancing policyholder care measures, and building a robust fraud protection network through seminars, digital learning courses, and simulation exercises.
Additionally, to strengthen anti-fraud effectiveness, a series of “Vitality Anti-Fraud Express” activities have been launched targeting senior citizens and younger generations. Yuanta Life has developed financial literacy programs for the younger generation, reaching out to communities and campuses to increase fraud awareness among financially vulnerable groups. Furthermore, to make reading easier for senior citizens, Yuanta Life has printed and distributed a large-print version of the “Yuanta Nine-Point Anti-Fraud Handbook,” serving as a constant reminder for the elderly to stay vigilant. Since understanding fraud tactics and scenarios is the best defense, Yuanta Life has also partnered with media outlets to co-produce anti-fraud videos. Through sharing real-life fraud cases and featuring testimonials from former consumer protection officials and police officers, the videos leverage the media’s influence to disseminate accurate anti-fraud knowledge to the public, realizing the insurance industry’s responsibility to educate.
Yuanta Life upholds the principle of sustainable development, consistently participates in public welfare activities, and enthusiastically promotes various sustainability measures to fulfill corporate social responsibilities. In the future, Yuanta Life will continue to collaborate with local communities, aiming to expand diverse forms of public welfare participation, implement sustainable development initiatives, and exert a positive social impact.
