To assist households affected by the overflow of the Matai’an Creek dammed lake in Hualien in returning to normal life as soon as possible, subsidiaries of Yuanta Financial Holding Company –Yuanta Securities, Yuanta Bank, Yuanta Life, Yuanta Funds, and Yuanta Futures – jointly donated 200 motorcycles to the disaster-stricken area.

The overflow of the Matai’an Creek dammed lake in Hualien, triggered by Typhoon Ragasa, caused severe damage, resulting in significant loss of life and property among local residents. The transportation vehicles required for external access were destroyed by mudslides. Fortunately, through the continuous efforts of disaster relief personnel and volunteers in clearing debris, road traffic is gradually going back to normal. Disaster victims urgently need motorcycles for transportation. Yuanta Group donated 200 motorcycles to the disaster-stricken area, to be distributed by Taiwan’s Executive Yuan. We hope that this donation will help meet the transportation needs of the affected residents.
