Yuanta FHC Wins 5th Global Views ESG Corporate Sustainability Award for Sound Financial Ecosystem & Linking Public Welfare in Sustainability Cooperation
<p>Yuanta Financial Holding Company (FHC) and the group actively join international sustainability initiatives, and are committed to promoting and nurturing sustainable financial talents in Taiwan, assisting businesses to make the low-carbon transition, and communicating the spirit of sustainability cooperation. This year (2025) marks the fifth consecutive year that Yuanta FHC has won the Global Views ESG Corporate Sustainability Award’s Exemplary Award in the category of “Comprehensive Performance – Banking and Insurance Industry.” Its subsidiary Yuanta Bank has also been honored with the Excellence Award in the category of “Outstanding Solution – Social Innovation” for the first time for its self-developed “Anti-Fraud AI Model,” which deepens staff’s awareness to prevent fraud and strengthens customer care, all of which highlight the accomplishments of our ESG efforts.</p>
<p>Recognized for practicing integrity management and corporate governance performance, Yuanta FHC and its subsidiary Yuanta Futures were ranked in the top five percent (5%) of the tenth Corporate Governance Evaluation by the Taiwan Stock Exchange (TWSE) in 2024, with Yuanta FHC being ranked among the top ten percent (10%) of listed and OTC companies in the financial and insurance category for the eighth time. In the second Sustainable Finance Evaluation, three Yuanta subsidiaries—Yuanta Securities, Yuanta Bank, and Yuanta Funds—with commitment to providing green financial products and services, were included in the front rank of financial institutions.</p>
<p>In the area of establishing a sound ecosystem of sustainable finance, with net-zero emissions by 2050 as its goal, Yuanta FHC promotes carbon reduction within the company, offers a wide range of financial services, provides guidance to businesses on sustainable transformation, actively joins international initiatives, and has been awarded the highest grade of “A” for four consecutive years and the “Leadership Level” for six years in a row in the international carbon disclosure program by CDP. In order to nurture employees on environmental protection, Yuanta launched the “Yuanta 188 Sustainability Activity Relay Program” in 2024, organizing over ten events with more than 300 employees joining to protect biodiversity.</p>
<p>As a member of the Coalition of Movers and Shakers on Sustainable Finance, Yuanta FHC is mainly responsible for the Empowerment and Certification Working Group, which paves the path for cultivating talents on sustainability. In the role as a supporter of charity group’s dream programs, Yuanta FHC has organized the “Dream Big” Yuanta Social Service Dream-Fulfilling Project for eight years without interruption to support 45 groups in realizing their dreams, benefitting a cumulative total of 200,000 people. With excellent performance in various aspects of ESG, Yuanta FH has been selected as a constituent of the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index and Dow Jones Sustainability Emerging Markets Index, the most significant indices in world, for six consecutive years, and has been ranked number one globally in the category of Diversified Financial Services and Capital Markets for three times.</p>
