In response to the 7.2 Richter scale earthquake that struck offshore Hualien, Taiwan, Yuanta Financial Holding Company (FHC) announced today (4/5) that we would donate NT$20 million in response to the disaster. Through 0403 Hualien Earthquake Disaster Donation Special Account of Taiwan’s Ministry of Health and Welfare, the related funds will be coordinated to assist in medical and humanitarian relief and health and safety work.

In addition to maintaining normal operations during the earthquake, Yuanta FHC also activated the emergency response mechanism and customer care programs immediately after the disaster. All operating bases in Taiwan, including Yuanta Securities, Yuanta Bank, Yuanta Life, Yuanta Funds, and Yuanta Futures, are operating normally.

In order to fulfill corporate social responsibility and contribute to the reconstruction of the disaster-stricken areas, Yuanta FHC hopes to make donations to help the victims rebuild their homes, recover from the trauma of the disaster, and return to normal life as soon as possible.
