In the face of the relentless epidemic, there is a need for warm actions to take care of every heart that needs to be warmed. With the core of public welfare and care, Yuanta Financial Holding Company (FHC) and the Yuanta Cultural and Educational Foundation start from education and put into practice the original intention of “taking from the society and using it for the society” by inviting the past recipients of the “Yuanta Scholarship for Outstanding Underprivileged Talent” to return to Yuanta for a homecoming Talent Exchange Meeting to enhance the interaction between the students and the Yuanta Group, to exchange with each other and to teach each other.
The Chief Executive Officer of Yuanta Cultural and Educational Foundation, Robert Yang, said that Yuanta is a warm family, and the students who participated in the “reunion” during homecoming could understand more about Yuanta and gain more from the experience. The event also invited Yuanta FHC’s Chief Human Resources Officer, Sophia Chang, to share her talent cultivation strategies, including cultivating the depth of employees’ professional abilities, enhancing the breadth of duties through rotations, and learning the height of direct management from attending large project meetings, etc. The secret to success is “never, never, never give up!” Yuanta Chief Digital Development Officer, Mei Ling Kuo, expressed that digital finance is not a one-man war, but a team effort that must think from the customer’s standpoint, meet the customer’s needs, solve “pain” points, and provide services that exceed the customer’s expectations. She advised students who want to work in the field of digital finance to focus on the three D’s: Domain, Digital, and Data.
As one of the inaugural management associates (MA) of Yuanta FHC, Rick Chen, Senior Assistant Vice President of the Corporate Planning Department, talked about his experience as a “senior upperclassman.” He laughed and said that all walks will leave traces. One should not be afraid of hardships, but be willing to learn, and take a solid horse stance. There will definitely be a time when it will come in handy. In addition, three students who received the Yuanta Scholarship for Outstanding Underprivileged Talent were admitted to this year’s Yuanta FHC MA program. They also shared their interview experience and tips as upperclassmen, encouraging students to set their goals and take the first step.
The students gave immediate feedback on the Yuanta team’s rich and solid sharing, saying “it was very rewarding” and “Yuanta is really dedicated to nurturing talents,” and more expressed their gratitude. The atmosphere was lively.
Although education is just a small seed, it has great power. Yuanta Scholarship for Outstanding Underprivileged Talent program is entering its seventh year. The Yuanta Cultural and Educational Foundation continues to play the role of a gardener, constantly watering and fertilizing seedlings and helping outstanding students to pursue their studies with peace of mind. We have nurtured 349 young students so far. 79 students have been successfully employed, 178 students have entered new stages of study, and four of them have chosen to join the Yuanta family to give full play to their talents. The homecoming Talent Exchange Meeting is a bridge between Yuanta people and past recipients of the scholarship, bringing us closer together.
