With the vision of net-zero emissions by 2050, Yuanta Financial Holding Company (FHC) has signed the net-zero pledge, and has integrated the philosophy of net-zero transformation into operation management and decision-making through four major areas of low-carbon operations, sustainable finance, low-carbon supply chain, and sustainability initiatives. This year (2025) is the third year in a row Yuanta FHC has met the Paris Agreement’s target of limiting the temperature increase to 1.5℃ with outstanding performance in carbon reduction. Yuanta FHC was honored with the certification from the 2025 Corporate 1.5℃ Forum for the accomplishment. The award was particularly meaningful as this year also marked the tenth anniversary of the Paris Agreement.  The Corporate 1.5℃ Forum, organized by the CommonWealth Magazine, is an annual event echoing the Paris Agreement and invites Taiwan benchmark companies for sustainability to respond to the 1.5℃ temperature target. Established in 2022, the Temperature Rising Index for Pathways (TRIPs) platform is the only platform in Taiwan that utilizes the methodology by United Nations’ Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and aligns temperature determination with global warming pathways. TRIPs simulates temperature pathway of each enterprise based on the carbon reduction targets and carbon emission data that the company has publicly disclosed through platforms such as the sustainability report, the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP), and the RE100 initiative, and uses it to show whether the company’s carbon reduction efforts align with the target of keeping the rise in temperature within 1.5℃, demonstrating to the global community that Taiwanese enterprises are committed to protect the planet. The results of 1,200 enterprises were disclosed on the platform this year, with nearly thirty percent achieving the target. Yuanta FHC and the group implement and disclose climate and nature- related risk and opportunity management. Our Climate and Nature-Related Financial Disclosures Report has been certified by the British Standards Institution (BSI) at the highest level of “Level 5+: Excellence” for three consecutive years. This year Yuanta FHC is again named as one of the Asia-Pacific Climate Leaders on the 2025 list by the Financial Times and the international research company Statista, which assesses companies in 14 countries in the Asia-Pacific region on their climate performance. Yuanta FHC continues to strengthen carbon reduction targets and improve operation resilience and has made CDP’s A List, the highest honor, for five consecutive years, and has been ranked at the Leadership Level for seven years in a row, making us as a leader in the financial industry.

The ninth “Dream Big” Yuanta Social Service Dream-Fulfilling Project (hereinafter referred to as the “Dream Big Project”) officially launched its selection process today (6/23). The project offers four main areas of support: dream-fulfilling funds, corporate volunteer services, cross-sector exchanges among industry, government, and academia, and capacity-building workshops. These initiatives aim to fully support social welfare organizations and educational institutions in overcoming resource constraints. The project invites like-minded individuals to join the dream-fulfilling lineups and work together to create a sustainable future. In order to keep pace with the trends of digital transformation and sustainable education, this year’s Yuanta Dream Big Project has been updated to incorporate corporate management and innovation know-how, thereby establishing a more influential public welfare platform. We invite selected groups to join capacity-building workshops, where professional instructors will guide them in learning key skills such as marketing strategies, resource integration, and social media management, sparking new ideas and opening up new possibilities for collaboration. Through empowerment and collaboration among industry, government, and academia, we aim to transcend isolated initiatives in public welfare education, promote social inclusion and sustainable development, and create a lasting and profound impact. Since its launch in 2016, the Yuanta Dream Big Project has helped 52 organizations fulfill their dreams, benefiting more than 230,000 people. Over 9,000 volunteers from within and outside the Yuanta Group have joined the project. Eight years of dream realization has achieved more than just numbers; it is a microcosm of social change. Yuanta FHC and the Yuanta Foundation are committed to addressing educational and social issues. Our initiatives span a wide range of areas, including environmental sustainability, child and youth welfare, elderly care, empowerment of people with disabilities, art therapy, financial education, vocational training, and community revitalization. The scope of our services and the nature of our beneficiaries are diverse and inclusive. The ninth Yuanta Dream Big Project is now accepting applications until 4 p.m. on September 1, 2025. We welcome organizations with passion, dreams, and the courage to take action to apply. Services are available to all people regardless of ethnicity, gender, age, or location. Projects that promote learning development, social adaptation, and joint responses to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals can all be proposed.
