Yuanta Financial Holding Company (FHC), as Taiwan’s first diversified financials institution to sign the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) net-zero emissions commitment, annually assesses greenhouse gas emissions from its own operations and investment portfolios. We demonstrate outstanding performance across four key areas: low-carbon operations, sustainable finance, low-carbon supply chains, and sustainability advocacy. As a result, Yuanta FHC has been honored with the “National Enterprise Environmental Protection Award,” Taiwan’s highest environmental accolade, by the Ministry of the Environment (MOE). Having received this award four times since 2021, we were specially commended this year with the “Honorary Environmental Protection Enterprise Trophy” for achieving the Silver Award for three consecutive years. As a green pioneer, the Yuanta Group actively adopts energy-saving equipment to reduce energy consumption and strategically implements green electricity usage. By 2024, Yuanta FHC and its eight subsidiaries have all begun using green electricity. We also leverage our financial influence to promote sustainable procurement, supporting products with environmental, energy-saving, and green certifications. In 2024, the Yuanta Group’s total green procurement expenditure reached approximately NT$299 million, earning recognition from the MOE for thirteen straight years. We continue to support the MOE’s Green Point initiative, integrating it with the Yuanta 188 Sustainability Activity Relay Program and Earth Hour activities to encourage employees to embrace eco-friendly lifestyles. Yuanta Bank has achieved remarkable results in implementing a low-carbon economy and has launched the “Diamond-Gold Carbon Lucky Account.” Through digitalization and online application services, 340 million sheets of paper were saved in 2024, representing a 1.3-fold increase compared to 2023. Yuanta Bank has also introduced preferential low-carbon product loans to encourage customers to prioritize purchasing new-energy vehicles. Yuanta Funds pioneers the purchase of 25 funds via electronic payment accounts, offering customers greater convenience while reducing energy consumption and resource usage, advancing toward a sustainable financial vision. As a mover and shaker in environmental sustainability, Yuanta FHC actively aligns with international standards, having been selected for the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI) for six years in a row and ranked first globally in the group of Diversified Financial Services and Capital Markets three times. We have likewise made the Climate A List of the international environmental information disclosure organization CDP for five consecutive years, and maintained Leadership Level status for seven straight years. Furthermore, Yuanta FHC joined the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD) in 2024 as one of the world’s Early Adopters and participated in the MOE’s “Net-Zero Green Living Alliance” in 2025. We continuously monitor domestic and international net-zero trends, driving industries and society toward sustainable development goals.

We integrate this ethos into our corporate sustainability goals, continuously leveraging our financial influence to drive positive change. We hosted our second supplier conference of 2025 this month (August), themed “DEI for Shared Growth, ESG for Sustainable Prosperity.” The event brought together over 30 supplier partners to collectively explore emerging sustainability trends. Through supply chain engagement, we create a diverse, inclusive, and welcoming workplace environment. To concretely implement DEI values of diversity, equity, and inclusion, Yuanta FHC shared with suppliers the Yuanta Group’s achievements across the three pillars of DEI. These include fostering an employee base with diverse backgrounds, cultivating international talent, and ensuring all policies and measures are free from discriminatory treatment based on employees’ inherent characteristics. We construct a positive culture of mutual support and open expression. We also invited professional consulting advisors and Acer e-Enabling Service Business Inc. (AEB) to share insights on “DEI Trends and Practical Applications” and “Building an Inclusive Culture to Unlock Innovation Potential,” respectively, highlighting how consulting firms and the information technology industry embody the value of diversity in the workplace. As a member of the Coalition of Movers and Shakers on Sustainable Finance, the Yuanta Group has implemented the ISO 20400 sustainable procurement guidelines since 2020. This initiative involves reviewing suppliers based on ethical and sustainability criteria and optimizing supplier management processes. We require suppliers to comply with the “Terms and Conditions of Sustainable Procurement for Suppliers,” achieving 100% coverage among contracted suppliers. We hold annual supplier conferences to compile the latest international trends, comprising topics from carbon emissions management training and workplace health to DEI issues. Through various thematic discussions, we integrate supply chain management with sustainable procurement principles. Yuanta FHC deeply embeds DEI culture into daily operations, committing to demonstrate corporate responsibility through safe, healthy, and sustainable processes. Our achievements have earned recognition through numerous domestic and international awards. We actively promote a motherhood-friendly workplace and have been distinguished for six consecutive years by HR Asia, Asia’s most authoritative human resources magazine, with the “Best Companies to Work for in Asia” award. Furthermore, we have been honored with the Taipei City Government’s Workplace Gender Equality Certification Gold Award for two straight terms and have received the Friendly Childcare Business Award for two years in a row.
