To strengthen the financial sector’s commitment to net-zero transition and sustainable development, Taiwan’s Financial Supervisory Commission (FSC) recognized financial institutions that ranked in the top 25% of the third “Sustainable Finance Evaluation” on April 2. Yuanta Group has demonstrated outstanding performance in comprehensive sustainability indicators, as well as in environmental, social, and governance (ESG) areas. Our securities, banking, and investment trust (funds) subsidiaries actively cultivate talent in sustainable finance, working together with customers, employees, and partners to create long-term value and drive the industry and society toward a path of sustainable development. Among the 23 securities firms, 34 banks, and 15 investment trust companies evaluated, Yuanta Group was recognized as ranking in the top 25% of the industries. In line with the Yuanta Group Sustainable Development Strategy Roadmap, Yuanta Securities, Yuanta Bank, and Yuanta Funds have integrated the principles of sustainable business into their corporate culture and operational strategies. Centered on the theme of “Carbon-Reduced Operations, Moving Toward a Net-Zero Future,” they have implemented an Internal Carbon Pricing (ICP) mechanism and adopted Science Based Targets (SBT) to comprehensively promote low-carbon operations. The companies continue to align with international standards, ensure robust sustainability disclosures, and are committed to developing products and services that embody the spirit of sustainability. In 2025, Yuanta Securities served as the lead underwriter for the first sustainability-linked convertible bonds issued by a Taiwanese OTC (over the counter)-listed company, setting a precedent for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to participate in the sustainability bond market. Yuanta Securities has been ranked among the top 25% of securities firms in the Sustainable Finance Evaluation for two consecutive years. Yuanta Bank has deepened its assessment of climate-related opportunities and risks. Through engagement with companies and the provision of a diverse range of green financial products, Yuanta Bank has provided tangible support for industries’ low-carbon transition, ranking among the top performers in the evaluation for three years in a row. Yuanta Funds has strengthened its due diligence governance and continued to expand its influence in the cooperation among industry, government, and academia through USR (university social responsibility). In 2023, Yuanta Funds was the only investment trust firm in the industry to voluntarily publish a sustainability report, and the only one to be ranked in the top 25% for two straight years. For the Sustainable Finance Evaluation, the FSC, the Taiwan Academy of Banking and Finance, the Securities and Futures Institute, and other relevant organizations, along with external experts and scholars, establish the “Sustainable Finance Evaluation Committee.” The committee evaluates publicly available information—such as annual reports, corporate websites, or sustainability reports—disclosed by evaluated institutions in 2024, along with supporting documentation. The evaluation publishes a list of the top 25% of institutions in each sector to encourage high-performing financial institutions to serve as benchmarks.

Yuanta Group has demonstrated leadership in green finance by coordinating efforts across domestic and overseas offices in South Korea, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, and the Philippines, rallying nearly 90 supplier partners to join the “Earth Hour” lights-out initiative to protect the planet. On the evening of March 28, from 8:30 to 9:30 p.m., we will synchronize with the global effort by switching off the exterior lights of Yuanta Financial Plaza for one hour. Also through flash mob environmental events, we aim to promote and implement a low-carbon lifestyle. “Earth Hour” is a global, voluntary carbon reduction initiative launched by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) in 2007. Currently, 192 countries and regions participate, with more than 18,000 landmarks around the world taking concrete actions to support and respond to the campaign. Last year (2025), people from all walks of life across Taiwan answered back “Earth Hour,” saving a total of 298,000 kilowatt-hours of electricity and reducing greenhouse gas emissions by approximately 147 metric tons—equivalent to the annual carbon absorption capacity of 13,410 large trees. For six consecutive years, Yuanta Group has taken part in “Earth Hour,” actively supporting the use of renewable energy and installing renewable energy generation systems to integrate green energy into our operations. In 2025, Yuanta Group consumed a total of approximately 6.52 million kilowatt-hours of green electricity, reducing carbon emissions by about 3,088.2 metric tons—comparable to the annual carbon absorption capacity of 8.22 Da’an Forest Parks—as we continue to advance toward the goal of net-zero emissions and sustainability. Yuanta Group is leveraging our influence to promote sustainability. This year (2026), we have partnered with nearly 90 suppliers to join in “Earth Hour,” building our commitment to sustainability through concrete actions. To further energy conservation, we organize flash mob environmental events to raise awareness about energy and water conservation as well as recycling labels. We encourage our colleagues to choose environmentally friendly products and fulfill our responsibilities as global citizens. We also incorporate the “Green Point” program launched by Taiwan’s Ministry of Environment as a reward for participation, helping to embed green consumption practices into everyday purchasing decisions. With a sustainability vision of “becoming an international benchmark enterprise for sustainability, integrating with society, coexisting with the Earth, and jointly creating a better future,” Yuanta Group continues to align operational strategies with international trends. For six consecutive years, Yuanta Financial Holding Company (FHC) has made the A List on the CDP’s climate disclosure, and has been ranked at the “Leadership Level” for eight years in a row. Furthermore, Yuanta FHC has been featured in The Sustainability Yearbook for seven straight years and has been honored as a Top 1% outstanding enterprise four times, establishing ourselves as a driving force for social and environmental change through steady and solid performance.
